What we collect, and why

Privacy policy

This policy covers flymylove.com (the “service”). We collect what we need to follow the flights you track and to share them with the people you choose. We do not sell your information, and you can delete your account at any time.

Who we are

“We” and “us” mean Fly My Love; you can reach us at feedback@flymylove.com. Our Terms of service set the rules for using the service, and the cookie & storage notice lists what we keep in your browser.

What we collect

  • Your account: your verified email address, and the name and profile photo your sign-in provider shares. You sign in with a one-time email code or with Google.
  • Flights you follow: the airline, number, route and departure time of each flight you follow or save, and whether you want notifications for it.
  • Flight history (when available): past flights you choose to keep.
  • Circles and invitations: the circles you create or join, their members, and the flights you share with each. We keep an invited email address so only that person can accept; invitation links are stored only in scrambled (hashed) form.
  • Notifications and devices (when available): your browser’s push address and keys, its name so you can recognise the device, your notification settings, and a record of notices sent.
  • Commute planning (when available): your starting point goes through our server to Google to work out a leave-by time, and we do not keep it. If you save a leave-by time while signed in, we keep the planning times and the flight they are for on your account, with a copy in this browser, until 24 hours after the flight’s scheduled arrival.
  • Messages to us: your message and email address.
  • Crash reports: if the app fails while you use it, your browser sends us a short report so we can find and fix the problem: the kind of failure, where in the app’s code it happened, which part of the app you were using, your kind of device and browser (iPhone or iPad, Android or computer, and whether you were in the installed app or a browser tab), your browser’s version (for example, Safari 26 on an iPhone) and the app version. It never includes what you typed, the page address, your account, your name or email address, the error’s own text, or your device model, screen size, language or time zone, and we don’t keep your IP address with the report.

How we use it

To sign you in, show and update your flights, share them with the circles you choose, send the notices you ask for, plan trips to the airport when you ask, answer your messages, and keep the service working and safe.

Who we share it with

People in your circles see your name, profile photo, the part of your email address before the “@”, and the flights you share with that circle. You can change what each circle sees, or leave it, at any time. Invitations show the inviter’s name (or, if none is set, the part of their email address before the “@”), and invitation emails show the inviter’s first name and email address.

Services that run parts of the app for us, only for that purpose: Clerk (sign-in), Google (Google sign-in, maps, address and route lookups, airport weather), Railway (hosting), Neon (database), Cloudflare (domain, network protection, email forwarding, seat-map images), Resend (invitation emails, when turned on) and your browser’s push service (notifications you turn on).

Wallets: if you add a flight to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet (when available), we send it the flight’s airline, number, status, airports, times, terminal and gate to create the pass.

Flight information comes from public flight-status websites and open aircraft-tracking feeds. We look up flights by their public details (the airline, flight number and date, or the aircraft’s callsign); we do not send those sources your personal information.

We do not sell your personal information, show ads, or load third-party analytics, tracking or session-recording scripts. We may disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our users or the service.

How long we keep it

We keep your account and flights while your account exists, and past flights only if you choose to keep them. Older operational records are cleared on a schedule.

When you delete your account, we delete its data straight away, except:

  • a short coordination record of the deletion, which holds your account identifier until the deletion finishes and is removed 30 days after the deletion finishes;
  • if an operator has re-linked your account to another identity by hand, a permanent record of that operation, with your account identifiers and email address in scrambled (hashed) form;
  • entries in invitations and circles that other people hold, with your account removed from them; and
  • for administrator accounts, a record of administrator changes kept for a year with the identity replaced by a scrambled stand-in.

Your choices and rights

Your account & privacy controls let you manage flight history, notifications and devices, and delete your account, which also clears the data this app stores in that browser. You can also write to feedback@flymylove.com for a copy of your information, to correct or delete it, or to use any further rights your local law gives you.

Children

The service is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes to this policy

When this policy changes we update the “Last updated” date, and for significant changes we tell you with a notice in the app.
