Terms of service

The service is a web app for following flights and sharing them with small private groups called circles. In these terms, “we” and “us” mean Fly My Love; you can reach us at feedback@flymylove.com. By creating an account or using the service you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

Our Privacy policy explains what information we handle and why. It is part of how the service works, so please read it too.

The service is an early-access (alpha) product. Features may change, pause, or be removed, and the service may be unavailable or behave unexpectedly at times. We may reset or remove features while we learn what works.

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not promise that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for any particular purpose.

Flight times, statuses, gates, terminals, boarding windows, maps, and travel-time estimates come from public third-party flight information sources and other providers. They can be delayed, incomplete, or wrong.

Do not rely on the service for travel decisions. Everything it shows is an estimate, not a boarding instruction or a guarantee. Always follow your airline’s and airport’s own information, boarding instructions, and deadlines.

Leave-by times from the commute planner are estimates too. They do not measure airport queues; follow earlier airline and airport deadlines.

You sign in through our authentication provider, Clerk, with an emailed one-time code or with Google. You are responsible for keeping access to that email address or Google account secure, and for activity under your account.

• Use an email address you control. Circle invitations are tied to the address they were sent to.
• One account per person. Do not share your sign-in or use someone else’s.
• You must be at least 13 years old to use the service.

Circles are small private groups for following each other’s flights. When you invite someone, you decide which email address the invitation goes to, and you are responsible for that choice.

• Only invite people you know and who would expect to hear from you. Do not add anyone’s email address without their consent.
• Only share flights that are yours to share. If a flight involves someone else’s travel plans, make sure they are comfortable with it.
• Remember that people in a circle can see your name, the part of your email address before the “@”, and the flights you choose to share with that circle. You can stop sharing or leave a circle at any time.
• Do not use circles or flight following to monitor, track, or harass anyone.

When using the service, do not:

• break the law or help anyone else break it;
• harass, stalk, threaten, or impersonate anyone;
• try to access another person’s account, circle, invitation, or data;
• probe, scan, or test the service’s security, or work around its limits, except through responsible disclosure to us;
• scrape, crawl, or bulk-download the service or its flight data, or use automated tools to access it;
• resell, republish, or build a competing dataset from the service’s flight information;
• overload, disrupt, or interfere with the service or the people using it;
• upload anything harmful, such as malware.

You keep ownership of what you add to the service, such as circle names and the flights you choose to follow and share. You give us permission to store, process, and display that content only as needed to run the service for you and for the people you share it with, as described in our Privacy policy.

Some features rely on other companies’ services, and their terms also apply when you use those features:

• Maps and optional traffic routing use Google Maps Platform, under the Google Maps terms and the Google Privacy Policy.
• Sign-in is provided by Clerk, and Google sign-in by Google.
• Push notifications are delivered through your browser or device maker’s push service.

Links to other websites (for example, seat-map references) are provided for convenience; we are not responsible for their content.

You can stop using the service at any time and permanently delete your account from Account & privacy. What deletion removes is described in our Privacy policy.

We may suspend or close an account, or remove a circle or invitation, if it breaks these terms, puts other people or the service at risk, or if we are required to by law. Where it is reasonable, we will tell you why. We may also end the service entirely; if we do, we will give reasonable advance notice in the app.

To the fullest extent the law allows, the service is provided without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including the accuracy of flight information, commute and travel-time estimates, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be limited by contract.

We may update these terms as the service changes. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date above. For significant changes we will give notice in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the updated terms.
